Glenrothes cinema to reopen
This facebook page says that the cinema in Glenrothes is due to open again mid September under the name "Kino Cinema".
This photo album has over 100 pics of the cinema, which has been pretty much untouched for 12 years.

1998's Fab lolly price of 18p is unlikely to be continued.
Update: here's a video they've recently put on youtube:

Come to Glenrothes, we have a hotel, bus station, shops and a church.
Here's an updated version I stuck together using images from google streetview:

What do you do in the Town Centre in the evening?I'm not really sure what the reason is, but the people at the Kingdom Shopping Centre are asking for your opinion on the town centre. From their facebook: "Picture Glenrothes - have your say on the future of Glenrothes town centre. Visit the link below to be part of Fife Council's online consultation and submit your views." There's 3 pages of questions about how you use the town centre. Maybe if they get enough information from a lot of people they'll be able to get something other than card and phone shops and bakeries in there. Probably best not to ask for another Asda though. Click here to go and fill it out. edit: here's the gazette version Last Updated (Wednesday, 04 August 2010 21:13) Inside Glenrothes CinemaHere's a compilation of recent pictures taken inside Glenrothes Cinema which closed it's doors in 1998.
